Peewee Chevys belt out season-high 19 hits

CORNWALL – The Summerside Chevys spotted the Cornwall Cougars 3-0 and 6-3 leads after three innings before roaring back for an 18-10 win on Wednesday night.

The P.E.I. Peewee AAA Baseball League game was played at the Terry Fox Complex.

Dylan Noonan (3-4, three runs batted in), Marcus Gauthier (2-3), Ethan Beaulieu (2-3), Ben MacDougall (2-3) and Bennett MacArthur (2-3, three-run home run) ignited Summerside’s season-high 19-hit attack.

Garrett MacDougall (2-4) and Rowan Walsh (1-2) were the top batters for the host Cougars.

Nicolas Gunning earned the pitching win for the Chevys. Max Benton was the pitcher of record for the Cougars, who received a strong start from Nic Havenga.
