Chevys spread out offence in win vs. Royals

SUMMERSIDE – The Summerside Source for Sports Chevys spread out the offence in a 19-9 win over the Charlottetown Royals on Friday night.

The P.E.I. Mosquito AA Baseball League game was played at Queen Elizabeth Park’s Gordie Arsenault Field.

Hayden Ellis, who gave up one run, one hit and two walks while striking out five in two innings of work, picked up the pitching win. Nicholas Hams was tagged with the loss.

Ellis (2-2), Cameron Gallant (2-2, double), Maddix Hamilton (2-3, double), Breton MacDonald (1-2, double), Brayden Kirev (single) and Kaden MacInnis (single) contributed hits for the Chevys.

Nathan Swansburg (2-2), Kal White (1-2, double), Bates Ling (single) and Jamie Collins (single) keyed Charlottetown’s offence.
