First-inning runs prove to be difference

TIGNISH – Two first-inning runs proved to be the difference for the visiting Summerside Chevys on Tuesday evening.

The Chevys went on to edge the Western Mariners 2-1 in a P.E.I. Bantam AAA Baseball League game.

Winning pitcher was Logan MacDougall while Josh Myers was the pitcher of record for the Mariners.

MacDougall also helped his own cause offensively by batting 1-for-3.

Colin Gaudette, who had a 2-for-3 performance at the plate, led Western’s attack.
