Gallant’s bat sparks Red Sox past Stratford

RICHMOND – Parker Gallant ignited the Richmond Red Sox’s offence in a 12-8 victory over Stratford in recent P.E.I. Peewee AAA Baseball League action.

Gallant went a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish, including a triple, walk and two runs batted in. Dylan McCormack, who had three RBI, and Charlie DesRoches, with two RBI, each had identical 2-for-3 summaries.

William Proud (2-3), Ben MacLeod (2-4, double) and Michael Gallant (2-4) were Stratford’s leading hitters.

Winning pitcher was Nathan Grigg. DesRoches, Isaac Compton and Luke Dyment also pitched for the Red Sox while Ryan Carroll, Luke Garnhum and Adam Richards worked from the hill for Stratford.
