With two wins on Saturday
SUMMERSIDE – The Three Oaks Axemen completed the P.E.I. School Athletic Association (PEISAA) baseball project undefeated.

After winning both of their games on the first weekend of play, the Axemen won all three this past weekend to finish with a 5-0 (won-lost) record.
The pilot project consisted of a two-week schedule in which each team was scheduled to play five games. No championship was determined.
The project will be evaluated after this year’s event, and the PEISAA will then determine whether to offer full scheduling next year.
Following is a look at the Axemen’s two games at Queen Elizabeth Park’s Legends Field on Saturday:
Three Oaks 14 Morell 0
Parker Harvey pitched a complete-game shutout, striking out nine in the process. Sam Walsh and Jacob Terbeck worked from the hill for Morell.
Sam Cameron (2-4, RBI), Zack Mallett (1-2, two RBI) and Max Morrison (1-4, double, three RBI) were the Axemen’s leading hitters.
Charlie Jay (1-3), Justin Cudmore (1-4) and Kevin MacLeod (1-4) were Morell’s leading hitters.
Three Oaks 7 Rural 1
Jayden MacLean fired a one-hitter that included 11 strikeouts over seven innings of work in earning the pitching victory. Dominic Ryan worked six innings for Rural, and Ty McAdam went one inning.
Offensively, Riley Gallant (2-3), Ryan Blanchard (2-4, two RBI) and Mallett (1-4, three RBI) led the way for the Axemen.
Steve O’Shea had the lone Rural hit.
