Drop first two games at under-16 nationals

BRAMPTON, Ont. – It was a rough start for the P.E.I. Re/Max Ravens here at the Softball Canada national under-16 girls championship Wednesday.

The Ravens opened round-robin play with an 11-1 loss to the Guelph Gators from Ontario in an afternoon game, and then dropped an 8-1 decision to the Quebec Rebelles in an early-evening contest.

Thursday, the Ravens play Smitty’s from Manitoba at 2 p.m., Atlantic time, and take on Surrey, B.C., at 8 p.m.

No statistics were available for the P.E.I. games on Wednesday.
