MEMRAMCOOK, N.B. – The P.E.I. under-14 provincial girls’s softball team, the Halthorn Global Eagles, swept a weekend series from the host Memramcook Dynamites.

The scores were 11-6 in Game 1 and 7-1 in Game 2.

“Our girls ran the bases extremely well against a strong defensive Memramcook team,” assessed Eagles head coach Chris Halliwell. “We had big hits and big defensive plays at key times.”

The Eagles, who will represent P.E.I. at the Softball Canada under-14 national championship next month in White Rock, B.C., are back in action in O’Leary on Saturday and then travel to Saint John, N.B., on Sunday.
