SUMMERSIDE – Ultimate Luck won the Sunday afternoon top class at Red Shores at Summerside Raceway in impressive fashion.

Owner and trainer Gary Chappell drives Windemere Eric, 3, to a 1:57.2 victory in Race 11 at Red Shores at Summerside Raceway on Sunday afternoon. Windemere Eric leads the Mark Bradley-driven Hot Shot Dragon, 4, and Blu Meadow Willie, driven by Bob MacInnis, to the half-mile mark.
Ultimate Luck toured the Prince County oval in a torrid 1:54.3. Driver Kenny Arsenault put the pacer on the point from Post 5, and rolled him through fractions of 26.4, 56.4 and 1:26.1 before posting a final panel of 28.2 to win by 2 1/2 lengths.
Newcomer Upfront Ticket stalked the leader through the hot fractions and stayed for second, with Outside the Wire rallying from the back of the pack at the head of the lane to grab the show money.
Ultimate Luck is owned by the Ultimate Stable of Greater Lakeburn, N.B., and trained by Sifroi Melanson.
Marc Campbell had a productive afternoon with three wins on the program. Campbell is making his third appearance in the Drive for Charity campaign, and teams up with Ocean 100 to raise money for the Olivia Ruth MacLeod Memorial Award.
Jason Hughes and Terry Gallant each posted two victories.
The total live wager for the 13-dash card was $15,140.
Red Shores at Summerside Raceway will play host the Atlantic regional driving championship, presented by RDMD Refrigeration, on Saturday, June 28. Post time is 6:30 p.m.
