CHARLOTTETOWN – All Turain used different tactics, but the results were the same.

The Trevor Hicken-trainee, under the command of Brodie MacPhee, came off the pace to catch fraction-setter Touch of Lightning in deep stretch to notch his 10th victory in a row in the Saturday feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Co-owner Lee Hicken of Charlottetown was also in the winner’s circle for the presentation. Time of the mile was 1:58.

Judge Jon finished third, with Perfect Escape fourth. Track announcer Vance Cameron laid out his top selections in the pre-race show going with the 6-2-4-3 combination, nailing the exactor, triactor and even the superfecta.

Bradley was in the driver’s seat behind long-shot Presto Pegasus when they captured the open trot in 2:01.3. The trotter is owned by William Andrew of Calgary, Alta., and Rachel Andrew of Milton Station.

Caliban Hanover finished second, but was placed sixth for interference on favourite Abundaspin in the first turn. Pleasure Girls inherited second while Zip the Lip was moved up to third to complete the triactor.

Jason Hughes and Marc Campbell recorded driving doubles on the 12-dash card.
