CHARLOTTETOWN – A popular harness racing promotion that benefits local charities is back for the 2014 season.
The third annual Drive for Charity, presented by Red Shores, will begin on June 1 and run until Oct. 30.
The Drive for Charity event features 13 of the Island’s top drivers, based on 2013 statistics, from the Charlottetown and Summerside tracks. The drivers partnered with businesses to raise money for local charities.
Each win will earn $25 towards the sponsor’s charity of choice. The Drive for Charity raised $13,100 for Island charities last year.
