Stonepark enters the league with tournament victory

CHARLOTTETOWN – Stonepark entered the seven-team Tier 2 Volleyball P.E.I.’s 14-under girls’ tournament with a victory recently. 

After missing the first tournament of the year two weeks ago, Stonepark No. One made a statement, taking the tournament with an overall 5-1 (won-lost) record. Cornwall also finished with the same record, but Stonepark No. One won the head-to-head match.

The Tier 2 tournament featured three more teams than the previous tournament, which adds up to 15 teams total when the Tier 1 and Tier 2 fields are combined.

Summerside finished in third place at 4-2, followed by West Prince (3-3), Colonels No. One, Stonepark No. Two and the Colonels No. Two.  

The third tournament will take place at M.E. Callaghan on Monday, April 14, starting at 5 p.m.

Summerside defeated Stonepark No. Two 24-13.

Cornwall defeated West Prince 18-13.

Colonels No. One defeated Colonels No. Two 30-10.

Stonepark No. One defeated Cornwall 16-15.

Summerside defeated Colonels No. Two 32-14.

West Prince defeated Colonels No. One 18-16.

Stonepark No. Two defeated Colonels No. Two 27-13.
