Now the first game of Atlantic Midget AAA Hockey championship tournament
ALBERTON -- Hockey PEI, organizers of the Atlantic Midget AAA Hockey Championship Tournament, have made another change to the schedule for the five-team event. The 1 p.m. game in Alberton was already postponed until Friday, and now the 4 p.m. game has been further delayed.
Organizers report they are trying to arrange for Teams Nova Scotia and New Brunswick to play their scheduled 4 p.m game at an alternate location tonight. Details still have not been finalized.
Meanwhile, organizers are confident the game in their revised schedule between the host Western Regals and Team Newfoundland and Labrador’s St. John’s Marshalls can go ahead at 7:30 p.m. this evening at the Jacques Cartier Arena. Official opening ceremonies for the tournament are now set for 6:45 p.m.
