ALBERTON -- With some members of Team Nova Scotia not making it to the Island ahead of Wednesday’s blizzard, organizers of the Atlantic Midget AAA Hockey Championship have made some minor adjustments to the schedule.

The tournament at Jacques Cartier Arena in Alberton is still scheduled to start Thursday at 1 p.m., weather permitting, but instead of the Mid-Isle Matrix playing the Bedford Blues at 1 p.m., they will take on the St. John’s Marshalls from Newfoundland. The Marshalls flew into Halifax Wednesday morning and made it to Alberton in time for a short practice before the forecasted nor’easter settled in on the area.

The Bedford Blues will take Newfoundland’s time slot Thursday and play Team New Brunswick, Saint John Warriors, at 4 p.m.

The evening game on Thursday stays the same with the Matrix back on the ice, this time against the host Western Regals.

Organizations: Mid-Isle Matrix

Geographic location: Alberton, Newfoundland
