Women's bobsleigh gold medalists Kaillie Humphries, left, and Heather Moyse of Canada smile during their medals ceremony at the 2014 Winter Olympics, Thursday in Sochi, Russia.
The 35-year-old Moyse, who is from Summerside, and 28-year-old Humphries, who calls Calgary home, have been named Canada’s flag bearers for the closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics on Sunday. CBC's coverage of the closing ceremonies is scheduled to start at 11 a.m., AST.
Moyse, the brakeman, and pilot Humprhies became the first two-woman bobsleigh team to repeat as Olympic gold-medallists on Wednesday. They also won gold in Vancouver in 2010, and Moyse teamed with Helen Upperton for a fourth-place finish in the 2006 Winter Olympics, just missing a bronze medal by 5/100s of a second.
