SOCHI, Russia – Pilot Kaillie Humphries of Calgary and brakeman Heather Moyse of Summerside have set the stage for an exciting finish.

Humphries and Moyse, in the Canada 1 sled, posted a time of 57.57 in the third heat in the two-woman bobsleigh competition at the Winter Olympics on Wednesday. The U.S. 1 sled of pilot Elana Meyers and brakeman Lauryn Williams, had a time of 57.69.

The U.S. 1 sled, which went into the day’s action with a lead of 23-hundreds of a second ahead of Canada 1, has seen that cushion reduced to 11-hundreds of a second.

Each sled has one more run later Wednesday afternoon.
