Storm home to Moncton tonight

CHARLOTTETOWN – The Island Storm is back home at Eastlink Centre tonight (Thursday).

The Storm will host the Moncton Miracles in a National Basketball League of Canada game that is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

This will be the eighth meeting of the regular season between the two teams, with the Miracles holding a 4-3 advantage.

The Storm is coming off two home-court wins last weekend – 129-127 over Saint John and 95-87 over Moncton.

The Storm continues to be led by Antonio Ballard, who is scoring nearly 22 points a game while grabbing over nine rebounds a game, both among the league leaders.

Newcomer Nick Okorie is starting to get comfortable in a Storm uniform as he scored 27 points to lead the team in Sunday’s win over Moncton.

Thursday night’s game is KidSport night, with giveaways at the KidSport display in the lobby before the game.

The Storm is also pleased to present singer David Woodside entertaining in the lobby before the game and at halftime, with ECMA artist Barry O'Brien from Georgetown singing the national anthem.

The Storm also announced the make-up date for the postponed game against Moncton on Dec. 10 will now be played at Eastlink Centre on Saturday, Feb. 15. Tickets purchased for the Dec. 10 game will be valid on Feb. 15.
