CHARLOTTETOWN – A new format in the East Division has brought new life to the Volleyball P.E.I. Senior Women’s League this season.

For the last few years, with so many teams, the format has been timed single round-robin games. This year, with eight teams and two tiers, the format has changed to two 10-minute timed games against each team.

"By simulating a ‘real’ game format, players energy remains high, teams stay focused and competitive,” said league member Meaghan Noel from the Victorious Secret team.

Volleyball P.E.I. is also operating a senior men’s league. Each league plays 12 weeks, and the provincial championships will be held in early April.
