TIGNISH – The Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces snapped the Belfast Sabres’ 10-game winning streak in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League on Friday night.

The Aces, behind Traven Gaudet’s three-goal performance, outlasted the Sabres 7-6 at the Tignish Credit Union Arena.

Slade Handrahan (1-1), Charlie Bernard (1-1), Tyler Howard and Tyson Carragher, who was named the Regal Cresting player of the game, also scored for Tignish. Riley Shea (4), Lucas Gaudet (3), Karter Hackett (2) and Troy Gallant collected assists.

Cody Garnhum (2-1), Nolan Irving (1-1), Alex Kelly (1-1), Jack Panting (1-1) and Brady Doiron countered for the Sabres, who took a 5-3 lead into the second intermission after the first period ended in a 1-1 tie.

Winning goaltender was Chase Dyment.
