CHARLOTTETOWN – The Island Storm made it two wins in a row in the National Basketball League of Canada here at Eastlink Centre on Friday night.

The Storm defeated the Saint John Mill Rats 106-103 in front of 1,471 fans.

Antonio Ballard continued his banner year by scoring 31 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Al Stewart poured in 16 points and had nine rebounds from the point guard position. In total, the Storm had 5 players in double figures.

The Mill Rats, who led by the 22-point effort of Chris Matthews and Anthony Anderson’s 21 points, had six players in double figures.

The Storm visits the Halifax Rainmen on Sunday in their first regular-season matchup of the season between the two teams. The Storm returns home to host the Moncton Miracles on Tuesday night.
