At Atlantic peewee AA baseball championship
GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR, N.L. – The host Grand Falls-Windsor Braves doubled the Richmond Red Sox 10-5 here at the Atlantic peewee AA baseball championship on Friday afternoon.

It was Richmond’s only game of Day 1, and the Red Sox will play Paradise from Newfoundland and Labrador and Kentville from Nova Scotia on Saturday. The top two teams will play for the gold medal on Sunday afternoon, with the third- and fourth-place teams playing for bronze on Sunday morning.
Against the Braves, Kyle Richard, Chandler Wood and Braeden Ahern worked from the hill for the Red Sox.
Matt Williams led the Red Sox offensively with a 2-for-3 batting summary, including a double. Other top batters were Isaac Compton (1-2, walk) and Eric Demchuk (1-2, walk).
