LANTZ, NS -- Organizers will decide Friday morning on how the Maritime Men’s Fast Pitch League championship tournament will play out. The six-team tournament was to start Saturday morning in Lantz, Nova Scotia but forecasted heavy rain for Friday is causing anxiety.
Organizers, said a member of the O’Leary Eagles, were to decide by Friday morning whether the tournament would proceed as a double knock-out event as scheduled, get delayed until later Saturday and shifted to single knock-out, or get moved to another weekend.
The P.E.I. teams, the O’Leary Eagles and Charlottetown Fawcetts were scheduled to meet at noon Saturday with the winner playing again at 6 p.m. and the loser at 4 p.m.
