In Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour
ANTIGONISH, N.B. – Shawn Tucker of Fredericton, N.B., took home his second consecutive and fourth Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour victory of the 2013 season in the Lucas Oil 100 here at Riverside International Speedway on Saturday night.
The event came down to a green-white-checkered finish as Tucker had to hold off hometown favorite Donald Chisholm of Antigonish, N.S., and Darren MacKinnon of Charlottetown for the victory. Second and third finished neck and neck, with a mere 0.018-second split between the two as they crossed the finish line.
Exide Batteries rookie-of-the-year contender Dylan Blenkhorn of Truro, N.S., came home fourth, and sophomore Brad Eddy of Lower Sackville, N.S., in the No. 13 King Competition Ford finished fifth.
Kent Vincent of Crapaud finished 12th, Jonathan Hicken of Brudenell was 14th, Terry Dougay of Albany was 18th, Greg Proude of Springvale was 19th and Brodie MacQuarrie of Sherwood was 20th.
MacKinnon and George Koszkulics of New Glasgow, N.S., picked up wins in their respective Dartmouth Dodge heat races.
With one race to go, Tucker will enter battle at the season finale at Scotia Speedworld 49 points behind Flemming, who finished a lap down in 11th at Riverside.
The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour will close out the season at Scotia Speedworld on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 4 p.m. The Dartmouth Dodge 200 will decide who takes home the prestigious championship and the $10,000 cheque.
