SUMMERSIDE – Cambest Kisser, owned by Donald and Steven MacRae of Vernon Bridge and trained by Stephen Quinn, won the Monday afternoon feature race at Red Shores Summerside in 1:58.1.
Jason Hughes, who enjoyed a big day at the office with five winners, mapped out the successful trip sitting mid-pack throughout the mile to rally late and beat Bet the House (Walter Cheverie) and King of Rock (Brodie MacPhee).
Every Day, who set fractions of 28.1, 58.1 and 1:27.4, faded to fourth to complete the superfecta ticket.
The Hughes-Quinn combo also teamed up for victories with Stayoutofmyaffair, Twin B Token and BR Power Surge. Hughes and trainer Nick MacGillivray scored with Last Art on Deck.
The fastest mile of the day went to Private Joke and Michael McGuigan in 1:57.1. The mare is trained by Earl Watts, for owners Wade Peconi and John Howatt,
Abundaspin claimed the trot class for driver Harold Shepherd in 2:02.1. The 13-year-old trot star recorded his eleventh win from 27 starts this season for owner Mikeala Lustic of Warren Grove.
Kenny Arsenault and Terry Gallant had driving doubles on the program.
