At Atlantic peewee AAA hockey championship

CORNER BROOK, N.L. – The Summerside Capitals split two games at the 2013 Bell Aliant Atlantic peewee AAA hockey championship tournament here on Friday.

The Capitals opened the day with a 4-3 win over the Newfoundland and Labrador representative, Tri-Com Bulldogs. Then in a late-afternoon start, the Capitals lost 4-3 to the Truro Bearcats from Nova Scotia.

No game details were available.

The Capitals go into Saturday’s final round-robin game against the host Western Wolves at 1-2 (won-lost).

The top two teams at the end of the round robin advance to the championship game, and the third- and fourth-place teams will play for the bronze medal.
