Forward Brett Gaudet took the offensive honour, and defenceman and team captain Kirk Ramsey was the top defensive performer.
Gaudet opened the scoring and then scored the game-winning-goal in the opening game of the best-of-seven final series to give the Aces a 3-2 victory over the Southside Lynx on Friday night.
Gaudet rejoined the team late in the regular season, and didn't take long to get warmed up as he already has 13 points in his first seven playoff games.
Defensively
Ramsey scored a goal and led the Aces defensively in Game 1 against the Lynx.
Ramsey has had another strong season on the Tignish blue-line, and has excelled in all dimensions of his game this year. He’s contributed well offensively and has stepped up with his toughness when needed as well. He has accumulated 119 penalty minutes so far, including three fights.
