SUMMERSIDE – It wasn’t easy, but in the end the Nova Scotia women pulled out an extra-end win on Tuesday afternoon to remain undefeated in the 2013 Canadian senior curling championships at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club.

Skip Colleen Pinkney and her Truro Curling Club rink scored a single point in the 11th end to edge Ontario’s Judy Oryniak’s foursome from the Galt Curling Club. Nova Scotia improved to 6-1 while Ontario dropped to 1-5.

In other after action, New Brunswick’s Heidi Hanlon doubled Alberta’s Deb Santos 6-3, and Quebec’s Catherine Derick outscored Newfoundland and Labrador’s Laura Phillips.

Tuesday’s final draw is scheduled for 7 p.m.
