SUMMERSIDE – Ontario’s Howard Rajala team from the Rideau Curling Club is now the lone unbeaten men’s rink in the 2013 Canadian senior curling championships.

Rajala edged New Brunswick’s Wayne Tallon from the Capital Winter Club 6-3 in a head-to-head meeting of 4-0 (won-lost) teams in Tuesday morning’s draw.

After Rajala opened the scoring by stealing a single point in the first end and the second end was blanked, the rinks exchanged single points the rest of the way.

In other morning action, Newfoundland and Labrador’s Glenn Goss defeated the Northwest Territories’ Glen Hudy, and Nova Scotia’s Alan O’Leary lost 9-8 to Alberta’s Wade White in an extra end.

P.E.I.’s Rod MacDonald rink takes a 3-2 record into this afternoon’s 2:30 draw against Saskatchewan’s Gord Bell (2-3).
