SUMMERSIDE – The P.E.I. men’s representative, skipped by Rod MacDonald of Summerside, split its two games on Monday at the 2013 Canadian senior curling championships.

After Manitoba’s Bob Sigurdson rink from the West Kildonan Curling Club stole back-to-back single points for a 7-6 extra-end win in the morning draw, MacDonald, third stone John Likely, second stone Mark O’Rourke and lead Peter MacDonald regrouped to hand Northern Ontario’s Bruce Munro a 10-3 setback in the evening draw.

P.E.I., which now stands at 3-2 (won-lost) while Northern Ontario dropped to 0-5, stole the final five points in the game, including three in the eighth end.

P.E.I.’s lone game on Tuesday is against Saskatchewan’s Gord Bell at 2:30 p.m.
