The Capitals will visit the Miramichi Timberwolves in Game 2 of the best-of-seven Roger Meek Division semifinal series. The opening faceoff at the Miramichi Civic Centre is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The Caps won the opener at Eastlink Arena on Sunday afternoon by a 4-2 score. The teams were tied going into the third period, but goals by JP Harvey and Craig MacLauchlan 1:18 apart early in the final frame lifted the Caps to victory.

Riley gets nod

After Kevin Bailie stopped 22 of 24 shots in recording the win in Game 1, Capitals head coach Billy McGuigan confirmed on Monday evening that Jacob Riley will get the call for Game 2.

Riley was a workhorse for the Caps in the regular season, appearing in 34 games and recorded 23 wins. Riley had a very respectable 2.37 goals-against average and .915 save percentage while playing over 2,000 minutes.

Game 3

The series returns to Summerside for Game 3 on Thursday at 7 p.m., and Game 4 is in Miramichi on Saturday at 8 p.m.

In the other Roger Meek Division semifinal series, the Woodstock Slammers lead the Dieppe Commandos 1-0. Meanwhile, in the Eastlink Division, the Amherst Ramblers and Pictou County Weeks Crushers won their respective series openers on the road over the Yarmouth Mariners and Truro Bearcats.

The Ramblers and Crushers will host Game 2 of those series tonight. The Dieppe-Woodstock series resumes in Dieppe, N.B., on Wednesday.
