Red Wings vs. Vipers

KENSINGTON – The Island Junior Hockey League championship series will get underway at Community Gardens on Friday, March 22.

Game 1 of the best-of-seven series between the defending champion Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers and the Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings will get underway at 7:30 p.m.

The two arch-rivals will play Game 2 at the Evangeline Recreation Centre in Abram-Village on Sunday, March 24, at 7 p.m.

It is the second year in a row the two Prince County-based teams have met in the championship series, with the Vipers sweeping last year’s matchup.

If the series goes the limit, Game 7 will be played at the Gardens on Sunday, April 7, at 7 p.m.

The winning team will represent P.E.I. at the Don Johnson Cup Atlantic Junior B hockey championship in April.
