The P.E.I. Nola Murphy rink out of the Summerside Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club fell to 0-2 in 2013 Canadian Seniors Curling Championships at their home club, Saturday night.
Murphy along with third Donna Arsenault, second Elspeth Carmody and lead Laurie Tirone lost 13-6 to the Quebec rink from the Thurso Curling Club and skip Catherine Derick, third Sylvia Daniel, second Chantal Gadoua and lead Cheryl Morgan.
After giving up one to Quebec in the opening end, Murphy came back with a deuce in the second end for a 2-1 lead. But that would be the only lead the P.E.I. team would have.
Derick opened things up with a four-ender in the third, three more in the fifth end, two in the eight and three in the ninth.
Murphy managed to score one in the fourth end, one in the sixth and two in the seventh end.
Quebec joins Alberta, Manitoba and Newfoundland atop the leader board with 2-0 records.
