ALBERTON -- Defending men’s Champion Alan Inman from the Crapaud Curling Club and Sharon Horne from the host Western Community Curling Club are the only undefeated teams after the first three men’s and women’s round robin draws of The Dominion P.E.I. Provincial Club Curling Championship being played in Alberton. They both sit at 3-0 heading into the final day of round-robin play.
Six Island clubs have both a men’s and a women’s team vying for the respective provincial titles.
Inman had wins Friday of 12-1 over Cornwall’s Paul Neima and 5-3 over the host club’s Mike Trudeau rink.
Horne started the day off with an 8-2 victory over Crapaud’s Vanessa Hamming and followed it up with a 10-4 win over Lorianne Davies of the Cornwall Curling Club.
Sporting 2-1 records heading into Saturday’s draws are the Alan Brown rink from Charlottetown, the Silver Fox’s Blair Jay, Cornwall’s Lorianne Davies and Montague’s Tracy Yorston-Campbell. At 1-2 are Paul Morrison, Cornwall, Mike Trudeau, Western; Carol Kennedy, Charlottetown and Karen MacDonald, Silver Fox. Paul Neima, Cornwall and Vanessa Hamming, Crapaud are O-3.
