The Dominion ch’ship continues

ALBERTON -- Defending champion Alan Inman from Crapaud and Blair Jay from the Silver Fox share the lead for the men with 2-0 records halfway through the second day of the P.E.I. Provincial The Dominion Provincial Curling Club Championship here at the Western Community Curling Club.

In women’s play after two draws Sharon Horne from the host Western Club is at 2-0 along with Tracy Yorston-Campbell from Montague and Lorianne Davies from Cornwall. The other three women’s teams, Carol Kennedy from Charlottetwon, Vanessa Hamming from Crapaud and Karen MacDonald from Silver Fox are still looking for their first win.

Mike Trudeau from the host club defeated the Alan Brown Charlottetown rink Friday afternoon to deadlock both teams at 1-1. Paul Neima from Cornwall and Paul Morrison from Montague are 0-2 in men’s play.

There is a 2:30 p.m. women’s draw and a 5:30 p.m. men’s draw today. Round-robin play continues Saturday and the play-off round goes Sunday.
