The two teams will meet in Game 4 of the best-of-seven series at the Evangeline Recreation Centre at 7 p.m.

The Red Wings took a 2-1 series lead with a 5-4 overtime win in Game 3 at the Cody Banks Arena on Thursday night.

Jeremy Balderston, the league’s most valuable player in the regular season, scored the game-winning goal at 3:30 of overtime. Taylor Smith set up the goal and earned the lone assist on Balderston’s third goal of the game.

That goal spoiled a third-period rally by the Falcons, who scored three goals in just over five minutes to tie the game 4-4.

Fidan Feta (1-2) and Brandon Carter also scored for the Red Wings, who also received assists from Tyler Clair, Matt Kelly, Cleve McNeill, TJ Campbell and Ben Johnson.

For the Falcons, Brady Cook (2), Cody McGuirk (1-2) and Kyle MacKinnon found the back of the net. Mike Callaghan, Willie Whelan, Parker Diamond, Patrick Brazil, Craig Dougan and Logan MacKinnon were credited with assists.

The Red Wings led 1-0 after the opening period, and 3-1 following 40 minutes.

Overall, the Red Wings held a 36-34 shots-on-goal advantage. Chris Gallant picked up the goaltending win over Devon Cudmore.

Second game in a row the wings blew a 4-1 lead, did they play two lines again or was it their hot headed players taking dumb penalties like they did in the game two loss.Keep up the great work Red Wing coaches, it will make it easy for the team that play you in the finals if you make it that far, remember last year.
