The Aces take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven semifinal series into Game 5 against the Belfast Sabres at the Tignish Credit Union Arena. Game time is 8 p.m.

The Sabres, who gave up four goals in the third period of a 6-3 home-ice loss in Game 4 on Sunday afternoon, will be looking to send the series back to Belfast for Game 6.

The spirited play of the Aces’ Dillon Arsenault played a big role in the Aces’ comeback in Game 4.

The Aces are pleased to announce that Friday is ‘Fan Appreciation Night’ and there will be a hospitality room available for fans. The Aces will also be recognizing all their team sponsors on Friday night. As well, all minor hockey players wearing their jerseys and accompanied by an adult will be admitted free.

Strong goaltending

The Aces continue to get strong goaltending from Jake Hackett, and Jason Whiteway continues to play well between the pipes for the Sabres.

Offensively, Ryley Shea is coming off a four-point game for the Aces. Brett Gaudet has recorded multiple-point games in all four so far this season, and leads the series with nine points while Traven Gaudet has a four-game point streak going. Kurtis MacEwen of Belfast has had back-to-back two-goal games.

The Aces are expecting their biggest crowd of the season as playoff fever has been hitting West Prince the past couple of weeks.
