The Aces posted back-to-back 6-3 wins versus the Belfast Sabres over the weekend to take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven semifinal series. Game 5 is scheduled for the Tignish Credit Union Arena on Friday at 8 p.m.
The winner of this series will face the Southside Lynx in the best-of-seven league final.
Sunday
In Belfast on Sunday afternoon, the Aces overcame a 3-1 deficit after two periods by scoring five unanswered goals in the final 20 minutes.
Rylie Shea (2-2), Brett Gaudet (1-2), Traven Gaudet (1-1), Dillan Arsenault (1-1) and Alex Brennan scored for the Aces, who led 1-0 after the first period.
Kurtis MacEwen (2) and Cody Garnhum found the back of the net for the Sabres.
Jake Hackett was the winning goaltender, and Jason Whiteway took the loss.
Friday
In Tignish on Friday night, Brett Gaudet (2), Traven Gaudet (1-2), Brennan (1-1), Slade Handrahan (1-1) and Kirk Ramsay dented the twine for the Aces.
MacEwen (2) and Josh Doran (1-2) countered for the Sabres.
The teams were tied 2-2 after the first period, and the Aces led 3-2 after 40 minutes.
Hackett and Whiteway were the goaltenders of record.
