Game 2 in Tyne Valley on Sunday night

CORNWALL – The North River Flames edged the Tyne Valley Clover Farmers 7-6 in the opening game of the best-of-five quarter-final series in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League here at the APM Centre on Friday night.

Cameron MacMurdo (2), Ryan McGuigan (1-3), Lal Hennessey (1-3), Chris Hedefine (1-1), Drew MacInnis (1-1) and Chris Arsenault scored for the Flames.

Tyler Peters (2-1), Travis Thibideau (1-3), Cody Arsenault (1-1), Clark Gallant and Josh Bernard countered for the Clover Farmers, who jumped out to a 3-1 lead after the first period. The teams were tied 5-5 after 40 minutes.

Game 2 is in Tyne Valley on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
