The Slammers posted a 4-1 home-ice victory that featured two empty-net goals in the final minute of the third period. Ironically, Woodstock was the last team to defeat the Capitals back on Dec. 7.

The Slammers outshot the Caps 39-26, including a 32-15 advantage through the first two periods. Simon-Pier Chamberland earned the goaltending win while Kevin Bailie turned in a solid 37-save effort for the Caps.

The Caps are back in action on Saturday night against the Dieppe Commandos. Game time at Eastlink Arena is 7 p.m.
