Morell Crunch goaltender Steve Lannigan took the defensive honour.
Handrahan had a four-goal performance against the Belfast Sabres on Friday night to help keep the Aces alive in the race for the No. 1 seed in the playoffs.
This was Handrahan’s second four-goal performance of the season – both of them were against Belfast. In fact, 10 of Handrahan’s 26 goals have come against the Sabres.
Strong effort
Lannigan turned in a strong performance in a 3-2 shootout loss to the league-leading Southside Lynx. He made 37 saves in regulation time and overtime, and turned aside the first four Lynx shooters in the shootout before allowing the game-winner.
Lannigan’s recent play has earned him some ice time as an affiliated player for the Sherwood junior B team.
