MORELL – The Tyne Valley Clover Farmers dropped a 5-2 road decision to the Morell Crunch in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League on Tuesday night.
Darcy Nicholson (2-1), Zack Gould, Zack MacDonald and Ryan Compton scored for the Crunch, who improved to 8-16-3 (won-lost-overtime/shootout losses). Tyler Brown (2), Jordan Arsenault, JD Farrell and Luke MacDonald chipped in with assists.
Travis Thibideau and Tyler Peters netted the goals for the Clover Farmers (2-24-0). Josh Bulger and Josh Bernard added single assists.
The Crunch held period leads of 3-2 and 5-2.
Winning goaltender was Jordan Jay.
Each team was assessed two minor penalties.
Tyne Valley visits the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces tonight (Wednesday). Game time at the Tignish Credit Union Arena is 7:30 p.m.
