Seed recorded seven points in three games to help the Capitals extend their winning streak to 15 games.

Seed, a native of Ottawa, Ont., earned two assists in a 5-3 road win over the Dieppe Commandos on Thursday night. He followed that up by being selected as the game’s second star following a one-goal, one-assist effort in a 6-3 win in Miramichi.

Sunday, Seed was again the game’s second star in a 4-1 win over the visiting Woodstock Slammers. He contributed a goal and two assists to the Caps’ offence in that game.

Seed, a former member of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Saint John Sea Dogs, has 17 points in 16 games since joining the Caps in December.

The Caps take their league-leading 34-6-2-0 (won-lost-overtime losses-shootout losses) record into Woodstock on Friday night for the back end of a home-and-home series with the Slammers. The Caps’ next home game at Eastlink Arena is Saturday, when Dieppe visits for a 7 p.m. start.
