Campbell’s shootout goallifts Red Wings past Falcons

ABRAM-VILLAGE – TJ Campbell scored the only goal of the shootout to lift the Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings to a 5-4 victory over the Sherwood A&S Scrap Metal Falcons on Friday night.

The Island Junior Hockey League game was played at the Evangeline Recreation Centre.

Tyler Clair (1-1), Campbell, Brett Adams and Matt Kelly scored regulation-time goals for the Red Wings. Cleve McNeill, Fidan Feta, Jeremy Balderston and Brandon Carter chipped in with helpers.

Parker Diamond (1-1), Matthew McQuaid, Brett MacDonald and Trevor McKinnon lit the lamp for the Falcons. Single helpers were credited to Zack Kitchen, Brady Cook and Brandon Birt.

The Falcons led 2-0 after the first period, and the teams went into the second intermission tied 3-3.

Chris Gallant earned the goaltending win. Zack Gallison tended goal for the Falcons.
