In P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League game

SUMMERSIDE – The Mid-Isle Matrix scored two goals 20 seconds apart in the final minute of the first period on Wednesday night, and that proved to be the difference in a P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League game here at Credit Union Place.

The Matrix edged the host Summerside Capitals 2-1.

Evan Noonan opened the game’s scoring at 19:25, and Spencer McAllister made it 2-0 at 19:45. Alex Wood and Tyler Sark assisted on the goals.

Liam Arsenault Gallant got Summerside on the board at 4:18 of the second period. Brandon Adams and Owen Arsenault set up the goal.

Goaltenders were Alex Smith (Matrix) and Blake Arsenault (Caps).
