Six-goal outburst keys win

SUMMERSIDE – The Summerside Capitals erupted offensively in the second period of Wednesday night’s P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League game against the Kings County Kings.

The Capitals spotted the Kings a 1-0 lead after one period, but roared back with six unanswered goals in the middle frame en route to a 6-2 victory at Eastlink Arena.

Chasse Gallant (1-2), Liam Arsenault-Gallant, Joel Arsenault (1-1), Ryan Campbell (1-1), Brandon Adams and Owen Arsenault scored for the Capitals, who improved to 4-17-2 (won-lost-tied). Jarrett Mulligan and Kolton Stright added helpers.

Spencer Ross and Tyler McGillvray countered for the Kings (5-14-4).

Wylie Tanton earned the goaltending win.

Referee Jonny Martin called 10 of 15 minor penalties against the Capitals.
