SIS hosting ninth annual Hoopfest this weekend

SUMMERSIDE - Summerside Intermediate School will host its ninth annual Hoopfest basketball tournament this weekend.

A total of 12 midget teams - six boys and six girls - will take part in the two-day event that will feature a round-robin format with no championship games. Contests will be played at the Summerside Intermediate and Athena Consolidated School gymnasiums.

Summerside Intermediate, Athena, M.E. Callaghan, Central Colchester, Bayview and New Glasgow Junior High are the entries on the boys' side.

Girls' teams are Summerside Intermediate, Athena, Hebbville Academy, Central Colchester, Bayview and New Glasgow Junior High.
