Against North River on Sunday night

TIGNISH – The Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces will conclude a busy weekend on home ice here at the Credit Union Arena on Sunday night.

Topics :
Lynx , North River , Tyne Valley , Crapaud

The Aces will conclude a stretch of three games in three nights by hosting the North River Flames in a 7:20 start. Tignish was scheduled to play in Tyne Valley on Friday night, and will travel to Crapaud on Saturday night for a key showdown with the first-place Lynx.

The Aces went into weekend action in second place, and are looking to gain ground on the Lynx. Going into Friday’s action, the Lynx held a five-point lead over the Aces, but Tignish has a game-in-hand.

However, the Aces cannot look past the Flames, who are only three points back in fourth place in the very tight standings.

The Aces will have to solve Flames goaltender Taylor Doyle, who is the league’s most recent defensive player of the week.

One concern for the Tignish coaching staff has been the team’s inability to protect two-goal leads. But on the positive side of things, the Aces stormed back from a two-goal deficit last weekend, which has been a trend of late – a slow start out of the gate, only to get better as the game goes along.

Tignish management reports the Aces will have a full roster this weekend as forward Alex Brennan returns to the lineup.
