Last week the Storm announced the signing of former Quebec Keb and NBL of Canada all-star Ralphy Holmes.

Monday, however, the team issued a press release saying Holmes will not be in the Storm lineup as expected due to “personal reasons.” He was expected to arrive on the Island Monday evening.

The Storm say they still plan to have Holmes join their roster “in the near future,” but the release did not say when the team expects him to be ready to play.

Storm players at Kin Appeal

In other team news, Doug McKinney, Al Stewart and Greg Plummer will take part in the 63rd annual Kinsmen Family Christmas Appeal tonight, beginning at 7 on Eastlink TV.

Funds raised and items collected are used for the Christmas hampers put together by the Kin Family to help Prince County residents in need.

Betweenb 7 and 9 p.m., the Storm will donate two tickets to their Dec. 14 game to anyone who makes a paid pledge to the appeal.
