KENSINGTON – Eight different players scored for the Kensington Clark Insurance Granites in a 9-3 romp over the Montague Marines in an Island Community Senior Hockey League game on Wednesday night.

The win improved the Granites’ regular-season record to 3-0 (won-lost), and Montague fell to 1-2.

Before 150 fans at Community Gardens, Brad Gallant (2-1), Devan Praught (1-3), Jackie Ray Bernard (1-2), Cameron Webster (1-2), Marshall Ellis (1-1), Jason Smallman (1-1), Tyler Murphy (1-1) and Nathan DesRoches (1-1) provided the Granites’ goals.

For the Marines, Jamie MacInnis (2) and Will Johnston (1-2) found the back of the net. Chris Doyle added three assists.

The Granites held a pair of three-goal leads at the intermissions – 4-1 and 6-3.

Winning goaltender Tim MacPhee turned in a 41-save effort while Montague starter Greg Martell gave up four goals on 21 shots in the first period. Travis Willis stopped 33 of 38 shots over the final 40 minutes.
