In Moncton on Saturday night

MONCTON, N.B. – Richard Arsenault of Wellington enjoyed a successful debut in professional boxing on Saturday night.

The 34-year-old Arsenault recorded a unanimous decision over Guy Desforges of Moncton, N.B. The judges had Arsenault winning all four rounds of the bout, which took place at the Moncton Lions Centre.

Arsenault is currently the Elite 1 mixed martial arts (MMA) welterweight champion. He has an 8-2 (won-lost) record in MMA.

    Great to see and good luck Richard.I dont know you but i do know Joe and if he works with you, I know you will do well.Nice to see Joe Borden get some reconition for the endless work he does weather its with the Western Capitals,the Richard Aresnaults the young and the older althetes that he instills confidence to help them move ahead weather its sports or in life . I know this is about Richard and I dont mean to take anything away from this but I just thought this was a chance to say Thanks to a wonderful person in Joe Borden. Michael Gallant
