Peters, who was in on all five of Tyne Valley’s regulation-time goals and scored in the shootout to help the Clover Farmers to their first win of the season in dramatic fashion against Morell on Sunday night, took the offensive honour.

This is Peters’ first year in the league.

The Summerside native played the 2010-11 season with the Western Red Wings of the Island Junior Hockey League.

Dyment was named the defensive player of the week after recording a pair of wins last weekend.

In fact, Dyment has appeared in five of the Aces’ first six regular-season games.

Friday, Dyment turned aside 31 of 32 Tyne Valley shots, and was a big factor in the Aces handing the Belfast Sabres their first loss of the regular season on Sunday.

Dyment, who appeared in just two games with the Clover Farmers last season, stopped 54 of 57 shots in the two games.
